The Border Security Force is the primary defence force along the boundaries of our vast nation, protecting us constantly from international threats. Armed with high-grade equipment and indigenously designed vehicles, these brave men face the whims of nature fearlessly to ensure that our security does not get breached.
SHM Shipcare has long been associated with the development of indigenous boats for the maritime forces of India. The Immediate Support Vehicles have been a useful component of search and rescue missions along the Indian coastline and as patrol boats for the Indian Coast Guard. And recently, we were honoured to get an opportunity to work with the BSF as well.
The BSF frontiers along the eastern and western borders of India traverse through varying terrain, from shallow waters of the rivers to muddy swamps. Designing patrol boats for these regions was indeed a challenge, as they required us to think outside the proverbial box, and solve the problems caused by deep propeller shafts and high drafts.
In this video, we see how SHM Shipcare took up the challenge and successfully completed it, building custom patrol boats for the Border Security Force.
This month, we celebrated the 53rd Founding Day of the BSF. We would like to acknowledge their tremendous work and express our gratitude for their ceaseless efforts. We are honoured to have been able to contribute to the journey towards making our borders safe and secure. Jai Hind!
